HE'S STILL BEING CRUCIFIED
(Hebrews 6:4-6)
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
Before the Lord Jesus was crucified, He was led to the judgment hall. He was tortured by the soldiers and tried before Pontius Pilate. Just before embarking upon the path to Golgotha, Jesus was presented to his persecutors. They were told of His innocence and offered one last chance to change their mind. Instead of repenting, they cried "Crucify Him!!!" and "Give us Barrabas!".
Though this occurred approximately 2000 years ago, Christ is being recrucified on a regular basis by those who claim Him, have seen His miracles and tasted of His goodness, but fall away from Him. Have you been made a partaker of the Holy Ghost? Have you tasted the good word of God? Have you been enlightened? If so, hold fast the profession of your faith and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ in your body and in your Spirit.
