Snapshot: Christianity. Ministry. What are your thoughts on them? Seriously. Our perspective on the Lord should, at least, be somewhat clear because of our exposure to the word of God AND because we actually have the mind of Christ. Christianity, of course, refers to our faith in Christ.

Snapshot: How familiar are you with the books 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy and Titus? Those in ministry should be EXTREMELY familiar with these epistles as they are different from the other epistles. First Timothy, Second Timothy and Titus are known as "pastoral epistles". They are dedicated to ministerial guidance and development.

Snapshot: The subject matter? Offense! The realization we should have? Offense is inevitable! The discipline we are called to? Fulfill the exhortations and commandments of the Lord Jesus regardless of who doesn't like what is done or said (refrain from manpleasing).

Snapshot: It is Sunday morning. The worship team has gathered together to begin practice for the coming morning worship service. Guitars are being tuned. Songs lists are handed out to the team members. Microphones levels are adjusted as the sound check is taking place.

Snapshot: How much did you receive from the Lord in the last service you attended? How much insight, drive and inspiration did you receive concerning the things of God? How much more focused were you than when you arrived at the assembly of believers? This should be a concern and goal for us as we enter into the house of the Lord, with a sense of prayer and expectancy.

Snapshot: Where is your heart . . . concerning understanding? We hear about knowledge, wisdom and understanding. Snapshot: In this age of perilous times . . . wait a minute. Does everybody know what perilous times really is? Well, let's take a quick look. Second Timothy 3:1 says, "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come." Paul goes on to give us a huge list of sins that help us mark the perilous times of the last days.

Snapshot: Much is said of being "used" of the Lord in today's Christian circles. Though this is somewhat noteworthy, it is better to desire to be a vessel unto honour than it is to simply be used of the Lord. The prophet Balaam was used of the Lord, but he was not a vessel unto honour (Numbers 23:1 - 24:25; 2 Peter 2:15-16).

Snapshot: Have you ever considered the words you use? Many don't. The crime of speaking flippantly and erroneously slips right by the consciences of many a person. Even more ellusive is the danger associated with using words inappropriately.
