God's Restaurant (Discipline in Receiving the Word)
http://www.cybersaint.org/biblestudy/articles/godsrestaurant.php

Snapshot: Restaurants. A place where we go to relax, sit a spell, get refreshed, fellowship and, most importantly, have a meal. Eating is important (of course). The gist of eating, however, is not the pleasure of it all, but what we get out of it -- the nourishment.

Snapshot: Any person who truly loves Christ wants to please Him at all times. What a joy it is to serve the Lord and do those things that please Him. David speaks about a key element when striving to please the Lord -- hiding the word in our heart. The word "hid" means "to hoard" -- to gather something in extreme abundance.

Snapshot: In these last days, there is much talk of oneness amongst those who name the name of Christ. Many are speaking of unity in the body. Some are even making great strides and efforts to see to it that those who "call on the name of Jesus" carry themselves as one.

Overcoming Scriptural Ambiguity (Murder in the Church, Part 7)
http://www.cybersaint.org/biblestudy/articles/scripturalambiguity.php

Snapshot: What is ambiguity? If you look this term up in the Merriam-Webster dictionary, you'll get one of those redundant definitions that echoes the word you're looking up. This doesn't answer the question.

Snapshot: This article is dedicated to illustrating the benefit of reading the word of God. We've gathered several scriptures that discuss...the scriptures. Simply put, consider the following scriptures and note/highlight the things God has ordained that his word accomplish in our lives. Take time to think about the thoughts, exhortations and effects mentioned in these passages.

Snapshot: When approaching God's word, one should also be aware that one of the consistent components of scripture is prayer. Take a close, attentive look at the scriptures, especially Psalms, and you will see the element of prayer magnified. Scripture will either show you how to pray (directly), show you what is lawful and expedient to pray or simply provoke you to pray by confronting your life, heart and mind.

Snapshot: Tithing -- giving a tenth of your increase unto the Lord. Are you a tither? There are many perspectives on the matter. Many today say it is not a New Testament doctrine. Many stress tithing from a law perspective. Many couldn't teach about tithing without threatening people with Malachi 3:10-11. Many won't tithe without Malachi 3:10-11. Lots and lots of tithers.....but toooooo many from the wrong perspective -- especially a SELFISH one!

Snapshot: Those who truly know the Lord Jesus Christ have a partner. Talk about a dynamic duo!!! The weakest Christian has power beyond belief! Oh if he or she would only come to grips with this astounding truth! The true child of God is not alone.

Snapshot: BLESSED IS THE MAN... stop!!! This is today's focus from Psalm 1. We're going to take a look at being "blessed" and the things that signify this state of being. Are you blessed? Are you really? What you do is an indicator of whether you are or not.

Snapshot: Christians are people with callings on their lives. Not called to ministry. Not called to sing in the choir. Not called to be deacons. That's not the prime focus in the life of an educated Christian. We're just called. Before a Christian is called (receives a burden from the Lord) to do anything else, we are called to do some basic things. Unfortunately, many have callings all backwards, placing ministry, singing and other things before general calls.

Snapshot: A group of people sat in a standard meeting, discussing issues relating to their church. The leader (a person who had a reputation for having knowledge) called the meeting to order. As issues were being discussed, a transformation took place. The meeting turned into a bashing session.

Snapshot: Many people hear the word of the Lord, but Jesus once stated, Take heed how ye hear (Luke 8:18) . In another passage, He stated, Take heed what ye hear (Mark 4:24). Today, we're going to focus on the "how". When someone attempts to communicate with us, they choose certain words to express themselves. In order for communication to be successful, we must apply the same meanings to the words as they do.
